Please book your place with Sheila (contact details below), at least a week before each session to ensure that enough willow is prepared and that there is space for everyone.
We have basketry tools available for new starters to borrow on the day, but everyone is encouraged to purchase their own after their first few sessions. A list of other items you might find helpful to bring with you can be provided.
We provide hot drinks and biscuits but please bring a packed lunch.
The group works without a tutor, and everyone helps each other. Anyone new to basketry will gain more from the group sessions if they also attend a beginners’ workshop. Alternatively, individual tuition can be provided during regular sessions at additional cost. The group coordinator can provide information about these.
We welcome both beginners and those with existing basketry experience. If you would like information about joining this group, please email the group coordinator (contact details below), who will be happy to help.
