Cullercoats Self-Help Group Meeting Friday & Saturday 19th & 20th July
Everyone attending the Cullercoats Self-help group had a wonderful time this weekend learning Neolithic braiding with Sandra Scholes. We used 3-foot willow rods, including Norbury from the Chesterhope plot, which were lovely to weave with. Everyone left with a small but perfectly formed basket or two.
On her way home from this meeting, Sandra called in to collect an item for the Etal Group and showed me one of the small exquisite baskets. Please note that if you need willow to make one of these baskets, supplies of fine 3-foot Norbury rods are available at Chester Hope.
