Helping with the Willow Harvesting - Coquet Valley

Description

Harvesting willow rods at Chester Hope usually starts at the beginning of November. It continues until all the rods are cut and sorted and the site tidied up in readiness for the start of the next growing season.

Sessions at the plot are usually held from 10:00 until noon on weekdays, weather permitting. Sessions are cancelled if rain is forecast. The plan for the week is emailed to volunteers on a Sunday.
