As part of their 'Weaving Our History' Tenth Anniversary Celebration events and exhibition the Northumbria Basketry Group is running three workshops at the Watchtower Berwick, where you can enjoy making decorative and useful items for your home. There are only eight places for each workshop, providing a high level of tutor support to help you achieve a result you will be really pleased with. All materials, tools and equipment are provided.

On Friday 3rd of November between 12 noon and 4 pm Anna Turnbull will help you create your own Catalan Platter and willow lantern. Catalan platters make excellent fruit or bread trays, or look wonderful simply hung on the wall. Anna is a basketmaker, willow and felt-making artist and experienced tutor. All materials, tools and equipment provided. The cost is £38 payable on booking.

On Saturday 4th November between 12 noon and 4 pm there is an opportunity to weave a willow angel under the guidance of experience basketmaker Charlotte Boxall. All materials, tools and equipment provided. The cost is £38 payable on booking.

On Sunday 5th of November between 12 noon and 4 pm you can weave your own asymetric swirl basket on a wooden base guided by tutor Anna Turnbull of Biteabout Arts. All materials, tools and equipment is provided and the cost is £38 payable on booking.
